If you’re not already familiar with it, you may be interested to know that the Multi Faith Centre at Derby University has a whole range of events going on throughout the year. Coming up this spring, the centre is planning events ranging from its conference to more informal conversations covering many of today’s big questions, together with book launches, yoga, aikido and meditation sessions. Due to popular demand, a talk on Hinduism, entitled ‘Hinduism – a purpose driven life’ (organised by the University of Nottingham Hindu Society) is being repeated to enable more people to attend.
The first night’s talk, given by the Sadhus of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, will be held on Wednesday 12th March at 7pm and will be open to students and staff from Nottingham’s universities, colleges and secondary schools.
All other members of the public are welcome to attend the second night’s talk, given by the same Sadhus, on Thursday 13th March at the Swaminarayan Temple at 8pm, including dinner, which will be served between 7pm-8pm.
The temple’s address is 102 Palm Street, New Basford, Nottingham.

Why not treat yourself to a night out with a difference and go along to the ‘1st Circle’ production at the Arts Theatre on George Street on the 13th or 14th this week.
‘1st Circle’ has been devised and developed by young people from throughout Nottinghamshire, in conjunction with Urban Angel, a performance-based company, and explores information gathering on a universal scale including surveillance and thought crime.
Tickets are just £3.00 for the waged, and free for the unwaged, with proceeds going towards benefiting the young people involved in the production. To find out more email steve@urbanangel.co.uk.
